A body scrub is a treatment that often goes unnoticed and is underestimated, but especially in the summer it can be a valuable ally for our skin, making it soft and radiant and allowing us to indulge in a moment of regenerating well-being.
WHAT IS A BODY SCRUB?
A scrub is a useful product for skin regeneration. Thanks to its mechanical exfoliation, it gently renews the surface layer of the epidermis by eliminating dead cells. Massaged with vigorous, circular movements, the scrub gently abrades the skin thanks to the presence of granules or microspheres that have a purifying effect, stimulating skin renewal and minimizing and reducing thickened tissue.
WHAT IS THE SCRUB FOR?
Revitalizing the epidermis, stimulating proper cell turnover, improving blood circulation, and allowing the skin to "breathe": these are the effects of scrubbing, which, when done regularly, achieves long-lasting results. Exfoliated skin will better absorb the active ingredients of any butters or products applied subsequently, enhancing their effects.
HOW TO APPLY BODY SCRUB?
The body scrub should be applied to damp skin and then massaged in circular motions, working from the bottom up, from the ankles to the hips, from the hands to the shoulders. When applying the scrub, it's especially helpful to focus on the most difficult areas of the body where thickened skin is common, such as the heels, knees, and elbows. The massage can last a few minutes, after which the product can be rinsed off. To complete the treatment, it's recommended to apply a nourishing butter to restore the skin's surface film. This treatment can be repeated two or three times a month or once or twice a week, preferably in the evening to give the skin a chance to regenerate and restore its balance.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SCRUB?
- Eliminates dead cells and residues that build up on the skin every day, clogging pores and hindering cell renewal
- Softens the skin making it smooth and velvety even in the areas of the body most subject to roughness
- Helps prevent skin aging
- Improves mood with massage action and scented fragrances
- Helps tone the body by reducing cellulite blemishes, even in combination with specific draining and firming products
- Prepares the skin for every treatment, from shaving to more specific treatments
MALÍ'S FAVORITE BODY SCRUB INGREDIENTS
A scrub typically contains three ingredients: an exfoliating agent, oils that exfoliate and moisturize during application, and fragrances that make the application even more pleasant. Malí chooses premium organic and vegan-friendly ingredients for all the products in the Malí Skincare collection, especially for its scrubs. Malí's favorite exfoliating agents include organic apricot kernel powder, organic raspberry seed powder, organic Arabica coffee beans, and Dead Sea salt. These ingredients are softened by butters and oils, such as organic avocado butter, organic grapefruit essential oil, macadamia oil, and organic apricot oil.
BODY SCRUB IN SUMMER, WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
In summer, a body scrub can be very useful for achieving a perfect, even tan. Exfoliation is a treatment that improves and intensifies a tan, thanks to its cell renewal effect. Furthermore, even in cases of excessive sun exposure, which causes a buildup of dead cells, making skin dull and dehydrated, a scrub can smooth the skin and give it a brighter, healthier appearance.
